GUILTY! Series:

In the GUILTY! series, Marcelo Grosman explores a digital modification of the composite sketch. This collection of large-scale photographs are created by layering criminal mug shots based on gender and age to build a generalized portrait of “the criminal.” The viewer cannot be certain if the individuals in the portraits are guilty or innocent, but resulting composites seem imbued with aberration. Grosman’s photographs challenge the viewer to negotiate their own prejudices and judgments.
