Pakpoom Silaphan (THA)

Pakpoom Silaphan was born in 1972 in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his BFA from Silpakorn University in Bangkok before moving to London in 2000 to study printmaking at Camberwell College of Art. He received his MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2004. The same year he was shortlisted for the John Moore 23 prize at the Liverpool Museum.
His work has been acquired by the Brooklyn Museum, MOMA New York, the Hiscox Collection, the Seavest Collection, Sir Paul Smith, Minnie Driver, Richard Curtis and the BBC and in 2012 it was featured in the publication ‘For Which It Stands: Americana in Contemporary Art’ by Carla Sakamoto, published by Farameh Media, New York p.100-105.
In 2015, Pakpoom’s works were featured in Coca-Cola’s ‘Kiss The Past Hello’ book to celebrate the 100th birthday of the brand’s iconic glass bottle and later the same year they were exhibited in the bottle’s worldwide birthday tour.
He has exhibited in the UK, USA, Germany, Thailand, Japan, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.
